"Fully funded" is a phrase you'll see a lot when researching heat pumps, but it's often used loosely. At WMT Solutions we want you to understand exactly what it means before you enquire, so there are no surprises later.
What "fully funded" actually means
A fully funded installation is one where the available government grant covers the full quoted cost of a standard heat-pump installation, leaving a potential £0 customer contribution. In practice this includes an appropriately sized air source heat pump and, in most cases, a new hot water cylinder.
It does not mean every possible piece of work is free. Additional work such as radiator upgrades, electrical alterations or building changes may sit outside the standard installation and could require a contribution.
Which properties may qualify
Most suitable properties may qualify for a fully funded standard installation. Suitability depends on your property type, current heating system, insulation and calculated heat loss.
Larger or higher-demand homes, or those with higher heat loss, may need a bigger system. In those cases the grant often covers most of the cost, with a customer contribution towards the larger equipment.

How the grant is applied
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme is administered by Ofgem and provides an upfront grant towards eligible low-carbon heating in England and Wales. As an installer, we apply the grant to your quotation so you can see the funded amount and any remaining contribution clearly, in writing, before you commit.
