The Boiler Upgrade Scheme is administered by Ofgem and provides upfront grants towards eligible low-carbon heating installations in England and Wales.
In some suitable properties, the available grant may cover the full quoted cost of the standard heat-pump installation, resulting in no customer contribution. For other properties, a contribution may be required. Funding is subject to current Boiler Upgrade Scheme rules, property and applicant eligibility, technical survey, room-by-room heat-loss calculation, approved equipment, installation requirements and final written quotation. A £0 customer contribution is only available where the applicable grant covers the full cost of the quoted standard installation. Additional work, including radiator, electrical, plumbing or building alterations, may require a customer contribution.
